I had a horse once who objected or rubbed with every kind of dressage girth. I finally bought him an anatomic, curved, one which sorted him out immediately. I've been wondering lately, since I only ever use a curved girth now, just how many horses are "putting up" with straight girths. The amazing thing about a properly shaped curved girth is that when you put it on the horse, it looks straight! That's the thing, apart from my horse's reaction, that convinces me that straight girths can't be as comfortable.
Anyway, if you figure on buying one, I've seen Passier, WOW and various other top brands of curved girth and nothing comes close to these for value for money. Don't be deceived by the low price, they are beautiful quality English made from English leather with lovely soft padding. The design is also great, they are the only ones I have had which hold the girth straps neatly in place.

ps I have no vested interest in Heritage/Marlow tack but I have just had some good customer service from them which deserves a mention.
