Anatomical girths without elastic? Prolite?

I currently have an ideal affinity anatomical girth which was made up for me without elastic straps. I now need a smaller one (well, pony does!) and was looking for a preferably synthetic one as she is a grubby wotsit. I looked at the prolite one but it's hard to tell from online photos as to whether the straps are elastic or not, is anyone able to confirm at all please? (local tack shops don't have them in stock to check) Or recommend any other synthetic anatomical girths?

They are not elastic :)

We couldn't get even pressure with it though, between the front legs the front gaped and the sides gaped up his sides. It is much bendier than the ideal is.

Paul jones were going to make me one without elastic (leather) that would have been similar price to prolite iirc.

The prolite girths are not elasticated.

I've got a short one, I've had it nearly 2 years and still very happy with it, I have the narrow gauge for Kira as Millie's fairfax is the standard gauge and didn't fit her.
I find I need to clean it after every use otherwise it gets a bit stiff, but that only takes a sec. (i sponge it off at the same time as sponging the horse) It softens up well enough if I forget ;) I think they are really good girths if they are the right shape for your horse.

Yep, not elasticated and pretty easy to clean. They do get more bits of hair stuck in them than other ones, as there are more seams/layers in mine (non dressage version) but you can wipe it over with a damp sponge. Fits my boy fairly well, does tend to be a bit bigger on the front than the back, so I end up doing the front a hole higher than the back one. Can't say I've noticed a change in how he goes but he does have quite big shoulders so I feel it is less likely to interfere with his movement.

I should say mine was a long one, hence the issues up the sides, obviously that wouldn't have been an issue with a short one.

What I really want is some sort of prolite/prochoice lovechild really! Partly because his forwards girth groove did still pull the prolite forwards so the stickiness of the pro choice would have kept it in place :D

The prolite one isn't elastic. As MP has said, very easy to keep clean and whilst stiffer than the leather counterparts, do soften up if used regularly.

Thanks all. I think I'm mostly convinced - does anyone know if you can trial them anywhere at all? (Can't see much coming up on Google so thought I'd see if the power of HHO can help) Also, how do they come up size wise? Fatty has been in a 46" ideal leather girth which does up on the 4th hole each side- so I dropped her to a 44" thorowgood girth which also does up on the 4th hole each side  presumably because the thorowgood has no padding but don't want to get a 42" prolite if I can't get it done up on her!

I contacted a local saddler who bought one out to try.

They come up a bit short size wise, F can be a bit inbetweeny 42/44 and def needed the 44 prolite.
