I'm going to be completely honest here. No one hates the LACS more than I. I get the bunny-hugging soap-dodging hippies from that odious organisation filming our hunt every week. Nevertheless, I've got to admit to having a sneaking admiration for the guy in the video (assuming he's a lacsy, as we call them). Ok, he should have chased the deer for a couple of hours with hounds before finishing it off, but it's a start. No, what really irritates me is the CA arseholes who filmed this. Is this what I pay my subscription for - to fund knob-head Spielburg wannabes to play silly buggers in the undergrowth? They're no worse than the tosser monitors who plague my hunt. HAVEN'T THESE PEOPLE GOT BETTER THINGS TO DO WITH THEIR LIVES!!!!!!!!!

To be perfectly honest I have no idea about what happens at LACS santuaries. I have and always will be in favour of deer control on the basis of their own welfare, it's just the method of control I have disagreements with pro's about.

Well it was nice to see the LACS people being abused instead of them abusing us for once!
Poor bl**dy deer, what a state it was in.
These are the same people who release a mangey fox into the countryside.
Its very sad, and proves how hunting is good for the overall population, IMO. Hounds wouild have brought him to bay PDQ, and long before he got in that state.

I'm not a LACS member, I don't know much about them to be honest. Unlike most pro's being anti hunt doesn't mean having a slavish membership to every lobby group going.

Why should I know what happens at Baronsdown, its the other side of the country! Also LACS and sabs have an uneasy relationship, LACS think we are a PR disaster (which is true, we are, hehe) and sabs critisise League monitors for lack of direct action i.e standing around fliming illegal hunting when sabs would be trying to stop the hunt.

If the video is for real then I would wholeheartedly condemn LACs for it but it's a but dodgy really. While it does show two clearly distressed deer it's fuzzy, ill-lit and badly shot. Exactly what was going on or who did what cannot be really be ascertained.

Check your facts before making such comments.

The CA were caught with their pants down when it became clear that it was a complete set-up by some of their supporters.

And Carreg you are correct - what kind of people would put deer through this kind of stunt? They are sick to the core.

Open your eyes Jerryboy, the deer at the LACS "sanctuary" are the most diseased undernourished herd in the country, the fact they allow the status quo to continue says a lot about where their loyalties lie, and it sure aint with the welfare of the deer at Baronsdown deer "sanctuary".............Carreg

hehe. Did you read Douglas Batchelors comment in the WDP to the effect that LACS and the RSPCA were conducting a joint investigation into a dirty tricks campaign?

What a laugh!

Someone reports a seriously sick deer getting stabbed in the neck and it's head virtually wrenched off and the RSPCA conducts an investigation not into the sanctuary owners who allow their deer to get in such a state nor the person who stabbed it but into the ppl who reported it.

Not political or anything. LOL

Of course Batchelor is lying; there is no joint investigation but if there were then the RSPCA would definitely be in breech of charity law. They are not legally allowed to use our hard earned tax money to engage in politics.

Batchelor however clearly beleives that he can allow his deer to suffer horribly and get away with it.

How about an Animal Welfare Act that protects wild animal's welfare?

Ah but let's be honest who gives a toss about that?

So you were involved with this stunt?

Deer injured in road accidents, brought to Baronsdown , filmed under the pretence that they had been there all the time.....

How sick are you lot?

What you think someone ran the deer over and then transported it to Baronsdown in order to film it being stabbed in the neck and getting it's head wrenched back. LOL

I suppose all the sick deer that the british Deer society say are on Baronsdown are being innoculated with TB by the countryside alliance. LOL*10

Or maybe they scour the country for all the TB infested deer they can find and then airlift them into Baronsdown Sanctuary in the dead of night. LOL *100

Jerryboy you really are a complete and utter twat.

There was an accident just above Bickleigh yesterday morning. I only saw one smashed up car but they may have already removed the deer up to baronsdown.

I am sure steve coates and the CA were on the scene before the police!

I await more clues from Jeremy.

They'll have swopped down with a helicopter, scooped up the deer, dashed over to baronsdown and dropped it off.

The buggers!

No doubt there was a guy with a machette ready to stick it and a film crew to capture the whole bloody process.

If you are unable to reply without foul language then please don't bother. It simply makes you look more of a fool than you already are.

Although I normally completely disagree with Mr Faguss at least he can reply (normally) in a civil manner. Look carefully at his response and you might just get some clues as to what really happened. Again it pays to check your facts.

And of course I have no idea where the road accident took place.

#### off. You are an up tight little ####.

There are many TB infested deer at Baoronsdown and the herd there is in a far worse state than the surrounding countryside.

Why do you tbhink that is? Do you think disease has welfare implications? Do you give a toss?

"Deer injured in road accidents, brought to Baronsdown , filmed under the pretence that they had been there all the time....."

These are FACTs are they? Where did you get these FACTs from? Do you have any evidence for them?

So they ran down a deer presumably in Devon, managed to get it in a cattle trailer or something, hoiked it up to Baronsdown. Let it out of the trailer then got someone to stick it in the neck and wrench it's head while they filmed the whole process. Did all this happen in broad daylight? What kind of sicko did all this? Indeed!

Where's the evidence for all this Jerry?

DOH! Only a complete dork would beleive such a ridiculous tale.

Maybe it got dropped of in Baronsdown by pro hunt extra terrestials from Venus. Could there be a secret pact between the venutians and the CA?
