And now for something *completely* different

This is my young horse working cattle for the first time. When I bought her last October she was terrified of cattle (among other things, lol) but it's all coming together now

Drat, its not set to private wonder why it's not working

Try this Tally ho?

Both works for me and you get

Although I'm slightly confused, that white, round thing that usually moves at the bottom, showing how far into the video that I've watched - doesn't move. Also it didn't say how long the video was, until it had aready finished and even though I've watched the video in both links, the view count doesn't change? I even tried closing both the tabs, going back to HHO and opening one of them in a new tab again, but still the view count didn't change.

But hey, I could still view the video without any problems and that is the most important thing to me.

:D

same happened for me as well.

I love the faces she pulls at the calves.

She is doing terrific! I'm very impressed. And you may not be a cutting horse trainer but you have done everything I do over here when teaching my youngsters to work cattle. You haven't over-faced her at all which is one of the most important things. She will make a good little cattle horse. The difference to how she reacted at the beginning of the video where when the cattle faced her down, she became a little worried and hopped backwards, to then seeing her later on pinning her ears back at them because they wouldn't move for her lol! Go Amber! :)

Same happened to me!!

I loved it, when we were kids my friend lived on a farm, and when her dad wasn't watching we would go out on the horses and chase *cough round up* the cows and sheep haha was great fun, and a brilliant way for us to learn our balance :p

Awww brilliant - I enjoyed watching that! My OH has a Rocky Mountain mare same age as yours and just backed. He is desperate to try the cow thing but although the horses live on a farm with them, they are not ours to round up LOL! He has to make do with practising on our donkey:)

Clever girl - loved how she was spooky at the start and then you can see the realisation on her face "Hey, these little guys are scared of me!" and she grows about a hand

I can see it...very impressive! Your girl is lovely :)

Thanks. Really pleased with how the introduction went, can be a worry as using one animal to work another animal is not always predictable.

can't see either! Subscribed though :)

I don't know why :(. It's set to public so you should be able to search for it.

Oh wow! Would love to try that on my guy. He called out to the cows across the road earlier though so I fear he thinks he is one of them instead!

I'm doing it for work, we have a lot of places inaccessible for a quad bike so this will make life a lot easier.

The view count takes a while to catch up, no idea about the other stuff, you or I have clearly broken YouTube :p

She is a face puller extraordinaire :D

Thanks SF, that means a lot coming from you!

Well can't condone that  this is purely for work and because most of our fields are not suitable for accessing with a quad bike plus its what she is bred for :)

That looks so cool. Excellent video.

Thanks, she has certainly matured in the last four months!

Brilliant! You should be very proud!

Thank you. I am proud of her now, the last few months have been a steep learning curve and at times I regretted buying her but its all falling into place now!

Thanks. What do you intend to do with your mare? I am just about to start taking mine to a western riding club which will be a totally new experience for me! (And her but she is so quick to learn it won't take her long to get it!).

Thanks, she is scarily intelligent. She has spend about 3 months being terrified if cattle so she has really come on recently to be ready to even attempt this

Aww i loved that! Thanks for sharing. Does look like she really enjoyed it!!! :)

Thanks, glad you were able to see it!

That is brilliant.

Thanks. I am really chuffed with the old bag :D. Did some neck reining in my lesson today as well and she picked that up in two seconds flat!
