And now (sorry, same livery)

Problem here is that vet, YO and livery have never been in same place at same time. Vet could well be phrasing things according to what each asks/wants to hear.

If I was at livery and found YO was videoing another livery without having had a proper conversation with relevant parties I'd leave. Pretty disgusting way to treat a paying customer (I speak as someone who has gone through being stalked and so would never condone covert or open even invasions of privacy without better reason than Chinese whispers with a vet!).

Suggest this is being blown out of proportion. Different vets will give different advice on box rest/turnout /exercise for different conditions anyway.

Just have a conversation saying you aren't comfortable with horse being ridden on your property in current condition without note from/conversation with vet and that you'll go halves on call out /fee for note if they like.

No convo/no note = no riding and if they continue give notice.

For goodness sake OP!!!

Speak to livery - tell them that you are concerned about them riding an obviously lame horse and that unless they can provide you with written evidence for the vet that this has been advised you will be giving them a months notice.

Why is this so hard????

This, all the way.
