Great news that the Hartpury Stallion Show on Saturday was enjoyed by many people, and interesting to see which stallions caught the eye. I'm really encouraged to learn that several posters liked Power Blade as he's definitely one that I have my eye on, and he will be at the SSGB at Addington next weekend, along with his offspring.

I think its amazing that we have another feast of stallions to enjoy, and some really major studs and big names attending on the 5th and 6th February. I know people who are coming down from Scotland for the event, as they are so keen to see a number of the stallions who are attending - maybe at last we are starting to move towards the quality of the stallion shows that have been running on the Continent for many years now. There certainly seems to be a real buzz around these shows, so look forward to enjoying the SSGB!

Power Line was fantastic, Perciflage was awesome, but Chilli Morning was my favourite of the day! Wish I could make Addington too!

I have loved Chilli Morning when I've seen him at parades - we were also privileged to meet Persiflage in person (there's an article on him in the Horse Breeders Magazine), and thought he was a stunner. I so admire the Guinesses for sticking to their guns on their breeding policy, and staying with their passion for Arabs and Anglo Arabs. Persiflage was pulled out for us to see, and trotted up and down the road in-hand, this with perfect behaviour in spite of the fact that he had been covering earlier in the day!

Just taken another look at the stallions listed for the SSGB, and I am very impressed by the names on the list there are some more even since I last read it. I am looking ahead to being there on the Saturday, and hope that I can get over for Sunday as well. Want to see my hero John Whitaker in action with his horses thats for sure.

A friend and stallion owner who attended Hartpury was so pleased with the quality of the horses that were there and almost their only crit was to consider that the running up and showing of some stallions was not professional and they wished that the handlers in the UK looked smarter :(
