Harry has been dropped off at his new home for the next few weeks to be backed. I'm feeling a little lost knowing I don't need to go and see him in the morning and won't need to look after him for at least 2 weeks, but also really hoping he is good for his instructor and enjoys his new job.
He, of course, was not phased by the change at all. Met a couple of the horses and some cows, which briefly intrigued him, and then he realised he had hay and he was back to his usual munching.
I'm excited that this phase has finally come around, I've had him 2 years and loved every minute (well almost!) and he's brilliant on the ground, so really hoping he's going to enjoy the ridden work and we can make a good team that can do a bit of everything
But at the same time, I'm nervous that I'll ruin him when he returns. I know I'm completely over thinking everything but I just really don't want to hold him back or restrict any of his potential, but I guess we need to take it one step at a time.
So is anyone else missing their babies at the moment?
