Harry has been dropped off at his new home for the next few weeks to be backed. I'm feeling a little lost knowing I don't need to go and see him in the morning and won't need to look after him for at least 2 weeks, but also really hoping he is good for his instructor and enjoys his new job.

He, of course, was not phased by the change at all. Met a couple of the horses and some cows, which briefly intrigued him, and then he realised he had hay and he was back to his usual munching.

I'm excited that this phase has finally come around, I've had him 2 years and loved every minute (well almost!) and he's brilliant on the ground, so really hoping he's going to enjoy the ridden work and we can make a good team that can do a bit of everything :) But at the same time, I'm nervous that I'll ruin him when he returns. I know I'm completely over thinking everything but I just really don't want to hold him back or restrict any of his potential, but I guess we need to take it one step at a time.

So is anyone else missing their babies at the moment?

Ooh how exciting, let us know how he gets on. I know how you feel my mare went for hydrotherapy for 3 weeks and I was lost without her! Are you allowed to go and see how he's doing?
 
Ester - he has gone to a lovely girl over in West Pennard, quite a few people I know recommended her and I know she will be firm but fair with him, which is what he needs. I'm going to get Julia out once he's back, decided that would be better as then I can sit in the saddle too and we can see how he goes in it :)

MGM - I am indeed, she said I am more than welcome to go over whenever so going to leave it for a couple of days (don't want to get in the way) and then pop over and give him a groom and a cuddle :) And tell him off if he's being a pain lol! Cannot wait for the first update, really hoping it all goes smoothly!
 
Hi , I so know how you feel I sent my boy away 4 weeks ago and got another 8 weeks to go and god I so miss him, but i do go and see him once a week would like to go more but it 2.5 hours drive away, I just keep thinking when his home we can go on some lovely hacks< keep your chin up he will be home before you know it . xxxx
