He has been SUCH a good boy recently!
grin.gif
I am so chuffed with him!
grin.gif

He visited my Parent's yesterday, and even they said they could see a difference!
grin.gif

We have had NO accidents in the house for over a week
grin.gif

And then today we were outside, lots of birdies, and I just whistled him without thinking and he came straight back
grin.gif
I gave him a huge fuss and sent him off again and then called him, again he came straight back
grin.gif
Sooooo pleased!

His recall in the house is now 100% consistant too, when before he would occasionally just sit and look at you!
grin.gif

He he is! He has grown and filled out quite alot, now weighs about 21kg

He now has an extensive wardrobe too!
grin.gif
We went to the Aerborn sale yesterday, and now he has a Thermalux rug like his Uncles ( and Henry!) and a reflective waterproof rug
grin.gif
They fit him so perfectly and only cost £4! You'd never guess he is going to be a big rough tough gundog!

He weighed 18kg when we got him, and after his upset tummy he dropped to 17kg, the Vet couldn't believe how quickly he had put it back on and then some!
grin.gif
Something to do with him looking at OH with those eyes, methinks...
grin.gif

Just looking at the pictures of when we first got him...

To say he has changed a bit would be a sligth understatement! The biggest change is, he doesn't look like he is about to die!!
grin.gif

He now just about fills that crate, the tufts on top of his head stick through the top bars!
grin.gif

Oh he does look more mature now, that third photo is just so sweet and sort of wondering if whatever caught his attention would be worth going to investigate or wait and see if it comes to him
grin.gif
or something similar.
And the crate photo --- talk about eyes saying 'Come and rescue me' (or at least that's what I want them to say
s070.gif
because it just makes me want to grab him and give him a cuddle).

Great to hear about his recall being so good, you must feel so proud.

In the third pic he is looking at his reflection in the cooker door! He is always looking at himself, must wonder who that handsome dog is
grin.gif

In the crate picture, he had been home a couple of hours and was terrified of the floor because we have laminate. Now he gallops around the house full tilt, and then jumps on his bed and surfs it across the floor, it is hilarious to watch!
grin.gif

I am really starting to feel hopeful with his recall, he never used to pay any attention to me outside the house, so hopefully it will just keep improving, and then he will start to pay me attetion on walks too
grin.gif

What a change! I love the hangdog expression! My old girl has it perfected! Get away with murder!

Mabe he is saying, "Mirror, mirroe on the wall, who is th fairest of them all?!"

It is amazing how they make us disspair & then one day they wake up & it seems like the penny has finally dropped with them! Is a top feeling!
You should be proud of yourself.

Well, today we went for our usual romp in the woods, whistled and called him, and....

HE CAME BACK!!!
grin.gif

So just got to make it as near as 100% perfect as possible and then we can start to think about him being off the long line!
grin.gif
grin.gif

I am soooooo pleased with him!
grin.gif

He has changed so much, not just grown but his whole expression, you can see from the pics how his confidence has grown. Sounds like you are winning on the recalls too, well done, seems he is turning into a real star
