I was feeding my two retrievers yesterday, (Shadow & Angel), when Angel jumped up and I nearly fainted, Big open wound between her front legs/chest area. I washed it out and put antiseptic cream on it, but took her straight to the vets this morning. Cyst that had burst, Ouch!! Worringly, vet found 3 more smaller ones on her body, went to drain them, but they are solid. Biopsy taken, Friday is D-day, she's home until then on painkillers and antibiotics. They mentioned possible surgery, but it will depend on biopsy results. Should I be as worried as I am, she's 7, but in fairness to her is not off her food/water at all, so maybe a glimmer of hope. Fingers crossed for our "Angel". xx

No don't worry yet, cysts can be benign. Even if you have to have them removed don't panic. Anaesthetics are much better now days, if you are asked if you want her to have iv fluids take it, it gives them a better recovery. But either way enjoy her and try to forget about then until Friday x
