Bloody horses!!! My TB mare is a pain in the arse for busting through fencing
In the winter field it was solved with a bale of hay, but they have now gone onto summer turnout so the herds have changed (**these horses have all met over the fence all winter so are fine being turned out together**) to mares and geldings in the bigger fields.
My mare has never been very close to my gelding in the field - they are often found at opposite ends, so we figured that having an electric fence between my mare and gelding and having them in adjacent fields would be fine.... WRONG!!
She promptly busted through 10 strands of taught wire fence and so the yard brought her in. I now have my own little summer field and will be turning them out together again tomorrow night.
Hopefully that will be the end of it...
