Had to post, so excited about a seminar I attended today with, cough, Andrew Gardner
It was BD Judge Trainees Seminar and was really enlightening. We covered theory, paces, prelim, novice and elementary and had to mark various tests. I must say I was rather star struck when we all went in, but what a nice man ! One of the riders was warming up very nicely, but with around 15 of us 'judges' sitting on the balcony watching, as she began her test I think the poor love got stage fright and it all went a bit haywire. Andrew spent a few minutes with her and when she did the test again it was soooooo much better !
I have only written for judges before, but I have just been invited to judge P18 on Sunday at an unafilliated competition
