Anfrew nicholson why was he not a popular winner ?

Personally I was really pleased for him. I adore watching him compete - at any level. He is fantastic, and especially on this horse. I think he has always been in the shadow of Mark Todd too, so about time he got a win. He has been constantly in the placings for years.

The judge's booth visor problem should have been sorted in the previous break, not left until it was flapping about so much. Amazing that Miners Frolic ignored it. The weather is just one of those things, they've all ridden in worse, and I don't think he'd have said a word at being kept to his allotted time in monsoon conditions. The H&S ramifications of thunder and lightning... well, the horse wasn't going to be the tallest thing around, the huge cranes holding the camera on wires were about 100m high or something!

I think that his rant at the Olympics was totally justified - it was disgusting that they had made such silly fragile judges boxes in the worst summer we have ever had. His rant, however, should have been directed at that, and not said that the British riders were favoured by being allowed to continue. Tina Cook answered that herself in her H&H column! He is just very "fired up" when competing. I worked for another top rider many years ago who was just the same. You ignored 90% of what he said until he had finished!

I like both of them. The Wiggy affair etc is surely water under the bridge now, people will have moved on. WFP is happily married now..
 
Funny how the fox Pitt Facebook page didn't congratulate AN yesterday though and just said sinead deserved to win, maybe a little dig one would think :D
 
Can't quote as on phone but whoever it was that put it has really intrigued me with the comment about people being different behind closed doors...

I'm intrigued by these so called training methods, can anyone elaborate?

I have worked on and off for Andrew for the last 10 years when he as with Jayne and now Wiggy, and have never ever seen him use any horrible training method.

I find the comments about his private life unnecessary.
