I thought it was pretty funny, but then I like his humour.

A joke, any joke, is bound to offend someone somewhere.... I'm sure Jimmy Carr won't lose any sleep over the moaners and whingers.

he's a comedian....you cant really take anything he jokes about that seriously!
besides lots of his jokes can be taken in bad taste by some people...if you dont like it dont listen there are plenty of people who probly found it very funny.....
its a joke.jokes are made up to make people laugh doesnt mean you mean that you agree exactly with whats been said just that you find humour in them...
judge the man by his actions not just his words
He's not even that contraversial usually....hell tommy tiernan has a lot worse on similar topics in the past..

Personally I hope some of the sodiers do go and represent us in the paralympics.

As the sister of an exwheelchair racer, I know full well we need to attract more people to paralympic sports, and who better than men and women who have proven themselves to be physically and mentally strong, disciplined and courageous.

Not only would this be an opportunity for these folks to carry on representing their country (something I assume service men and women feel is important?) but also a fantastic opportunity to show that paralympic sports are an important and credible event (and not just, as I once heard them described as 'a charity event for the inferior').

I suspect encouraging injured service people to get involved in paralympic sports would also be much more theraputic than counselling or what-not, but again I can only go on my brothers experience and not any experiences of post war soldiers.
