Anglo European or Warmblood??

I’ve just bought a new horse and was wanting to register her with my vets. When asked the question what breed is she I don’t know what to say.

Her passport is with the AES but I’ve read that it’s not really a breed but a mix of breeds. So my question really- is she a warmblood or Anglo European sports horse??

It’s just a studbook. For the purpose of registering with a vet it doesn’t really matter. Sporthorse or warmblood, both accurate enough.

Most Warmbloods are a mix of breeds as they have open studbooks, so often TB or Arab etc stallions are licensed to breed with them.

She is therefore an AES registered warmblood.

My AES registered horse was born in the UK and is always referred to as a British Warmblood
