Angry farmer !!!!

um OMFG is it any wonder he assulted you with an attitude like yours? I think I would have done the same.

Are you one of these highly annoying people who thinks they are always right?

Or are you just plain ignorant and aged 12?

(sorry to all the 12 year olds on here)

I'll add a bit to that, as I said I was in a tearing hurry earlier!!
To have a right of way declared by right of definition (ie 20yrs unhindered crossing over the land) evidence forms neeed to be filled in. These will state the grid ref of the start & finish of the right of way, & will also include history of passage - as many people as you can find have ridden the route need to fill in one of these forms & & the more evidence forms the better. These forms will form a big part of the information the council will use to make a decision as to whether or not the route can officially be declared a public right of way.

I also have no off road hacking here...I also have no school so hack 100% and I am straight out onto roads, which at any time of day have vans, work vehicles, tractors and aggregate lorries on them. That's life and I accept it..so I box if I want to get off road or just do endurance all summer and autumn...which are mainly off road too.

I thought the BHS bridleway's officer had answered all the queries on rights of ways etc. I found it quiet interesting because we have a bridleway that is not signposted one end so if you do not know the area you would have not idea. I was just interested to know because you are not permitted to ride the redways in MK, yet plenty of people do it, & some of these are now 20yrs old, so do they have rights of way now? I also think it would be helpful with the internet that these rights were not more acceable, ie it is easy enough to get a google map for roads, why not one for bridleways?

No, riding a route for 20yrs does not automatically mean it becomes a right of way, there are procedures to be followed such as submitting evidence forms as above. I have no idea what a 'redway' is, but I would imagine that if riding is prohibited on them & people are riding on them & getting away with it there may be a case to have bridleway status conferred on them, but it will be a long &drawn out process. Best thing to do would be to contact your local BHS access officer & ask them if it would be worth submitting evidence forms to the council.
