Just thought I'd share:

I messaged JW after reading a post on here about someone else who'd had a reading done. I was concerned about Bob's mental state as when he arrived with us a year ago he was very close to deaths door.... anyway, happily he picked up but had a few issues which I worked with and had mostly ironed out - I just wanted some reassurance. It turns out he was a very happy horse who described himself as resilient and I was not to worry as he bore no ill effects from his bad treatment previously. There were lots of other things which had me laughing and crying and his character came across perfectly.

10 days later he kicked my YO, and the following day he actually attacked her son... Wondering what the heck had happened to my lovely, happy horse, I emailed Jackie who kindly agreed to talk to him again. He explained that kicking my YO was an accident, which he was sorry for, but in response to the other man he'd attacked (totally shocked Jackie when he showed her he ran at him with his teeth bared!) he only said that the electric was back on.

He also said that there was a dispute in the field between two groups of horses (all geldings) about something round. The electric really confused me as it is always on, I initially thought he was talking about the wire across the passage down to the stables from the field, but he hadn't been near this without me and had certainly not been 'got' by it. As for the round thing, I really had no clue, but Jackie persevered and eventually it turned out the round thing they were fighting over was a water trough - a big blue barrel led on it's side with the top cut off to hold water. I thought of it as a rectangle not a round thing - just shows how his perspective was different to mine! and the electric was tape that cut it off from the geldings when their stream is full so that the youngstock can drink from it (it's positioned between the two fields).

So, he'd gone for a drink from it when the stream was empty and the tape was back across and he got zapped! So when the YO's son went up to take water to fill it - Bob attacked him as he blamed him for getting the Zap!! So eventually, when we'd worked it out, I got the tape removed so water was available to all again and my horse became his happy amiable self in the field. Without Jackie's help I do not know how this would have ended, as my horse was being labelled dangerous and I had been told he would have to come in and not be allowed turn out. So, happy ending for all!! :-D

How very bizarre! i'm glad you shared though, as normally i would be very cynical about something like that and am shocked at how affective it has been for you, congratulations :) xx

Polopony - I was a sceptic but am a firm believer of 'don't knock it till you've tried it' and a post in CR about another horse she'd done a reading for got me thinking 'well why not' so I gave it a go. I'm so glad I did as some ppl on the yard were saying he should be pts and others wanted him in and banned from turnout. I'm glad it worked out though, largely due to the insight JW gave. I'm amazed by it. :)

Glad that it's worked for you and your boy and you know now what the problem was. I'm a great believer in it as it really helped me with my last horse, totally changed our relationship.

Having our two done on wednesday, can't wait to see what the new boy has to say for himself! (I fear food may be mentioned alot).

I know alot of people don't believe but personally I do xx
