Re to the above, Ive done it i have written a letter to David Cameron asking for more to be done to prosicute ppl who attack and neglect animals. Lets face it theres no point wrtting to Gordon brown the mans usless.
I let everyone know what he he says should he or someone reply if you all interested
Some ppl think am stuoid for doing so but you dont get anywhere if u dont try, someones got to speak out

I wrote to my MP and various people in the House regarding Jamie Gray and got some nice replies. I do think if you vote with your feet it makes a difference, but unless everyone stands together it rarely helps. Good luck and well done for sticking to your principles, its a pity more people dont, they talk the talk but can't walk the walk. xx

Thank you, I do hope some good comes from it,David Cameron seems like a genuine, open eared kind of bloke but then that the Torries all over from what mum says they do stuff for the British ppl!

I think after the recent hideous accounmts of blatant animal cruely - not evenm neglect, downright sadistic cruelty, for example the latest - you do right.

Something need to be done, these horrible people are allowed to walk the streets freely. God knows what they are capable of. Still, horrendous things happen behind closed doors too and something only seems to be done when it's too late - look at the baby P case as an example.

For a start I personally feel people who abuse children should be locked up and should be sterilised as a matter of course BUT oh now what about their "human rights?"! Hmm, in MY mind they sacrifice them when they carry out the hideous acts of cruelty/abuse and murder.

If we can't get it right with punishing people for abusing children/other people though how on earth are we supposed to help defenceless animals?!!

Thanks guys, Im glad ppl dont think am being stupid or Nieve like a lot of ppl think I am.
I just feel like if its an effort lost then atleast I tried.

Good on you, animal cruelty makes me sick, it is not taken seriously enough.
I can only dream of winning the lottery and making a big difference one day to the lives of many animals.
I am currently trying to convince OH we should rescue another cat to join our other two, i have some work ahead of me.
Good on you and i hope you hear back from him, keep us posted on how you get on

Well i understand the principle, but he's not been elected yet.... so how much can he do really? Although i think Gordon is too busy poohing his pants to worry about animal rights, so maybe you did the best thing.

Campaigns do need bringing to attention more as things do seem to be getting worse in regards to animal cruelty these days.

The animal health and welfare act of 2006 was meant to do all that. A great deal of money and effort went into bringing this law into force and what a waste of time is seems to be

and the scottish one

A man who caused pain and suffering to a shetland pony in aberdeenshire has just been banned from keeping horses for 10 years and fined £500
The pony was starved and in so much agony from laminitis that he had to be pts.
The funny/ironic thing was, the judge said that he was treating the case very seriously.
He should be ashamed
