Hello people,

I have looked to see if anyone has posted about these guys but haven't found anything recent.

I've just taken an insurance policy out with them for the pony. I didn't see anything that put me off but they were a lot cheaper than my old insurer, Pet Plan, and I'm wondering why. I've kind of got a bit of buyer's remorse and wondering if I rushed into it so I thought I'd see if anyone on here has had any problems with claims before my cooling off period runs out.

My two big questions are:
1) Do they pay out without a fuss?
2) Do vets like working with them?

I’ve had two claims with them and they have paid out no problem. Really easy to claim via myself or the vets and pay quickly.
 
I had a policy with them and they were fine. It was easy to open a claim online and they paid out quickly. I had no complaints and only cancelled because I decided to self insure instead.

I think they're cheaper because they only cover you up to a certain level of riding so they wouldn't suit people competing at higher levels. Fine for most amateurs though. They also won't cover really expensive stuff like stem cell treatment but that's the only example I can think of.
 
I have had two claims paid by them, one around £6k in total (various tests & eventual PTS & sum insured payment) and one about £1,200. It's all online & very slick.
 
I’ve had a claim paid by them very quickly recently. The vet uses an online portal which is quick.
They have turned me down for buying a nebuliser though for the asthma he’s being treated for, which I’ve complained about.
 
Are they E&L insurance under a different name? I’ve had E&L pay out without a problem on multiple equine policies and animal friends for a dog policy without trouble.
 
I think they are related to E+L, they don’t cover higher level horses but they’ve been fantastic value for money for my cob and paid out inc MRI no quibbles.
 
I’ve just had my claim settled today with them (bone chip surgery), he went in early June, vet submitted through Pawtal, it has taken them a while to settle the claim (submitted 6th July, paid today) according to them we’ve just fallen through the cracks.
Vet said it is unusual, they are usually quicker. But overall easy to deal with, horse is only 3 with nothing else on his vet record apart from vaccs/castration.
