Has any one used them..??? Do they pay out etc..? Just got quote, £600 for £7000 horse with full loss of use, nearly £500/£600 cheaper than anyone else for the year.

Is there a catch though..?

Make sure you read the small print, especially about vet fees!!!

Had my dog insured with them and due to small print and wording of policy ended up paying £2500!!!

Looked at the reviews and i wasn't the only one.

I had my dog insured with them. I took her to the vet early last year with a sore neck which was treated and cleared up. I didn't claim because it was way under the excess. It flared up again later in year, turned out to be start of arthritis - lots of treatment and money later I tried to claim only to find out they wouldn't pay out because it says in the small print you have to claim within 2 months of first treatment. Obviously at that time I had no idea it was going to turn into an ongoing thing - just seemed like small injury. I was really annoyed because I'd even bothered to pay out for whole of life cover but they wouldn't pay a penny. Needless to say I didn't bother re-insuring when the policy ran out.

I insured my puppy with them and thought I was going to have to take her to the vet, but got out the insurance document and read it through and it looked as though she wouldn't be covered anyway. In the end the puppy recoverd so I didn't take her, but I don't think I will be renewing the policy. The only thing I really wanted was for Public Liability.

One name (this one!) keep cropping up when people call me to say they've had a letter back and insurance won't pay for x, x and x. Usually this is drugs that are totally self explanitory but it takes a strong worded letter from a vet for them to cough up. This was also the same company that recently refused to pay a clients bill as she owed credit to us, on record she owed no such credit, turned out insurance company misread Credit Card payment for credit charge!!

I have claimed for alot through this insurance company and only once (which was my own fault for leaving it months) was i not paid out.

Most recent was for over £1000. I didnt get pre autherisation (sp) they sent a letter to ask why i explained and they paid out.

So i really dont have a bad word to say about them!
