I have been hearing reports of between 10 to 15 animals being made to pull an almost infinitely large load and travel huge distances doing so.

The owner, a gentleman of increased girth wearing red clothes and touting a stylish but long white beard, seems to think all is ok to make these beasts of burden to take this trip once a year, seemingly without any training and maintenance. It seems that they are supposed to do all this exercise on a few carrots…

Surely this barbaric exercise should be banned on animal protection grounds.

I feel obligued to do something about it… so do I

A) report to RSPCA or PETA

B) start a petition

Or

C) ignore completely cos I really do like the presents?..

Any ideas or solutions?

OMG!! You had me there!!

Seriously tho', having been in the difficult position of seeing a possible potential "welfare" situation locally that concerned me; I rang WHW - who although promising me they would "get straight back to me" - I am still waiting for a response from even though this happened over a month ago.

So I though OK let's try BHS, and rang BHS Welfare on the off-chance, coz I'm damned if I'll ring the RSPCA about anything - I wouldn't even ring them about a rocking horse let along a real one - and the BHS Welfare Officer came straight back to me that same morning, and then went out and took a (very discreet) look at the situation within a couple of days. I'd allowed my BHS Gold membership to lapse, but d'you know what, I renewed it that day.

He takes them into war zones too according to the tracker I watched last night with my grandson. Brave or stupid?
Labour will probably cancel him as part of their "welfare" policy 🙄

I think those carrots have magical properties. I'm quite sure supplement companies would like to know their secret ingredients. We'd all buy it and be riding Pegasusi. Happy Xmas everyone.
Sod that, despite having a nearly 18hh'er I am seriously scared of heights.. you wouldn't catch me flying anywhere in a bloody sleigh and certainly not with Dex's sense of direction
