Hi, over the last few days after we bring our horses in from the fields, something is eating half and scattering the other half of their poo. Their field is surrounded on all sides by 6' wire fencing and electric dividers as well, this means that no dogs can get in only the british wildlife. We have seen deers, monkjacks, foxes, hares, rabbits and weasels all in their fields, so what is eating / scattering their faeces? Please advise as the horses are always alert going into the fields now. Thank you. :o

crows in ours certainly, I don't think it's the poo but the beetles that live in it they are after! They do spread it quite widely searching through to find them all! Any poo left for more than 24 hours in the dry is well picked over!!

Thanks, I will have a look tomorrow what insects I can find in there. There are plenty of pigeons and robins in the area. Yesterday the poo had been ravaged in less than 3 hours, beginning to feel that something is watching and waiting. lol. :D

I guess birds are starting to nest/ lay eggs (finally now weather has turned!) and so are looking for extra food to get started having been so delayed this year!
