Animals free to a good home...........

Somewhere like the Blue Cross will vet prospective owners and match them to suitable dogs - far better than just handing them over to Joe Bloggs who answers an advert.

I don't really see how that's doing any more than the rest of us, tbh. I can ask someone where they live, what they do for a living and how much experience they have in handling pets. I don't really need a rescue to do that for me.
 
And there are some of us who just like a challenge. Who'd have a fully trained, up together schoolmaster, when you could have a FTGH, fresh off the forest hairy beast who's never met a human, and knows nothing. It's just rewarding to see what they're capable of and build the trust. (OK, I'm a bit odd like that, but I can't be the only one).

One man's problem is another man's project.
