But that's my personal opinion.

You need to have a certain figure to wear figure hugging materials ;)

But they are very popular with showjumpers! Place I work at occasionally is the only seller in ireland!

But they are very popular. I don't like the cut or material or the stretchy elastic parts. Jods n shirts are lovely tho.
 
I like them, well mine anyway but dont like the ones with blingy bit on them. I dont really like bling at all so thats a given!
I do think that they are a nice mix of traditional and modern but i can also see why other people dont like them because of the stetchy material that can look erm unflatering on some people. Same can be said for other types of jacket thou ;) They are very much personal choice and you wont know until you try one on, i wasnt convinced until i did :D

Of course not! My friend who is a pretty decent SJer has all the gear - protector bling shiney hat, purple animo jacket, no hairnet, no stock - she obviously has no idea of taste!! :p ;) But the worst thing is.......SHE HACKS IN DRAW REINS!! THE HORROR!!! :rolleyes: :p ;) ;)

Was just making a general point - all the showjumpers here seem to have them!

I like the style, just not the material!!

Geez, can't even make a general comment on here!
 
Erm it was ment as a joke from a sj taking the pee out of myself for being stereotypical. :o
I know that they are not to everyones taste, im not jumping on anyone and people are more than welcome to not like them or have whatever opinion they like.
Mental note to self, do not to bother trying to be funny, im not.
 
love them !!! and the best part is they can go in the washing machine .....

you can also get them fitted as they are stretchy where as before you always had to get your jacket a bit bigger with room to move over a fence !!
 
I always thought of them as 'showjumpers' jackets' (all of my sj friends seem to have one and they all invariably wax lyrical about how comfy and different they are and how they could never go back to 'normal' jackets).

However at Olympia I saw an Animo tailcoat and it was stunning!
