Ankle fusing

I am possibly facing this operation due to an old injury.
Has anyone had it done,does it affect riding,how long is recovery etc.

i was offered this but turned it down after a close friend had it done,not the nicest of ops. shes been off for about 3 months having had pins and screws put in- shes a tough cookie and is now driving again but, she is getting pain after physio. so i dont know what to make of it really!! i dont want to put you off but it aint easy!!

Sarah_Jane on here (www.shoestringeventing.co.uk) has had this done i think - and she events to Adv level! She'd be good for advice - Good Luck
