Crikey! He was some horse!

On an aside, how very nice that both Steve Hadley and Raymond B-W knew when to talk and when to keep quiet.
Their commentary did not "take over" the round. Current commentators could learn a thing or two from their example.

I thanked the fella for putting them on YouTube, can't believe he had so much footage! I have some video from the Seoul Olympics and the World Eventing Championships from Gawler, I need to transfer them to DVD to upload them!

I remember watching that at the time. Can't believe it was 1988, the year my daughter was born

Must show her this clip as her pony had a similar way of going (very bad for my nerves).

Just fab, I love all of this old stuff mainly because Hickstead doesn't alter.
Any chance of vids from the 1960's and 1970's, I would love to see Stroller tackle those fences again.

Her sister's name's Michelle, not sure of her horse/s tho' I seem to remember one of them rode a bay called Teadies, and Annette also had a big grey called Zephyrus

Blooming 'eck!!

I can't believe she jumped the last fence with no reins and out of control! I thought she was doing a circle to slow down!!

Brave lady (and her brother!

Is this the Annette Lewis who gives lessons at Norton Heath in Essex or am i thinking of someone else?

Could be , as I believe she lived in the Chingford area of Essex - I'm originally from Essex ( I don't wear white stilettos or dance round my handbag & I have more than one O level

)

I'm always surprised that more eventers don't come from Essex , esp., the Epping Forest area as the ditches in the forest are huge & there were ( and probably still are ) , plenty of natural obstacles to jump
