I have just seen 6 horses and riders blithly (sp?) riding along a redway (special cycle and footpaths in MK).
Now I wouldn't be so annoyed except for the fact that running right through the centre of the very nice estate they were skirting is a bridlepath that leads through the estate. There is nothing wrong with the bridlepath it is nicely kept and I see no excuse for not using it.
In Milton Keynes there is a good network of bridleways in the very centre of the city I believe specially put in to help riders and to stop this sort of thing. They were also riding in a group not single file so if a cyclist or pedestrian were to try to get past they wouldn't be able to.
Sorry I had to rant as it annoyed me. Their only saving grace was that they were all wearing Hi viz.
