As most of you know i came joint first in the Petplan Novice Open Final at the Nationals back in April. Because i came joint first the other lady and i chose between us whether we wanted the sash/rosette or the rug - i took the rug as she wanted the sash/rosette. BD would post us out the other item each once they had been ordered.

So its now 21st June - exactly 10wks to the day that i won. And have i recieved my sash/rosette from BD - NO

Ive now phoned them more than a dozen times and they keep telling me its going to arrive by the end of the week and it hasnt. When i phoned today they said they had had two deliveries in and it might be in one of those - 'might' be, surely they have ordered it and know when its coming in

Dont get me wrong the lady im dealing with is very polite, apologetic and helpful - BUT I STILL DONT HAVE MY SASH

Ok, sorry this was pointless but i just wanted to vent my anger

I know its not good enough and you won it and are therefore entitled to your prizes but maybe they're having to order it with another batch of rosettes as it's the busiest time of year for rosette companies and few will supply individual items... However, BD should be straight with you and its odd that they don't know what's arrived - if they are ordering a few items then they should have those that someone has already won as a priority!

yes, but its been 10 WEEKS - surely they have done more than one rosette order since then!!!!!!!!!!

And also i dount if i would ever get it if i wasnt bothering to ring them once a week about it.

Maybe the same person who ordered the items is running the results section on their website

Joking aside it is pretty poor on their behalf - it takes the edge of a fantastic acheivement.

i really feel for you, to do that well you want to have something to remember it by and 10 weeks is disguesting!

Sorry, I would want two now!!! It must be sooooooooo annoying..to win a sash in dressage is the ultimate!! They dont give much else away do they?? In s/j you get trophies/cups even at local events... why cant we have some??? Do they not realise how much we treasure our trophies/rossettes etc.... ???? Whilst I am on one, I think they should give out more prizes too!! Surely they can do that?? What did anyone think of the "plaques" we got??...... ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ... or am I just being ungrateful!!!!!!!!

Oh no, are the plaques sh!t? I was quite excited that everyone at the summer regionals would get one - not had a plaque before!
grin.gif

The "plaques" were from the Nationals.. not sure what the ones from the Regionals will be like as I think this is the first time they have had them ??? The ones from the regionals were about as thick as a credit card and had British National Champs written on it.. oh yeh. 2007!! they were about the size of a large postcard! with four holes at each end??ummmm Am I ungrateful!!!!!!! If it could stand on its own it would be good!!! tehe!!

I actually think the plaques are OK.

They're not meant to be for indoors, I put mine on the top door of the relevant horse's stable.
They started way back in '99 just for the Summer and Winter nationals but more recently introduced them for the regionals too.
At the Area Festivals you can earn a different coloured one depending on your %.

I think it's a nice way of acknowledging the achievement of qualifying for the relevant competition and I'm quite proud of the array of plaques on my horses doors!

One tip........a client grumbled to me that hers was dull and scratched................

.....she'd forgotten to take off the protective plastic film!

Thats really off....its takes the shine off it when you have to ring up and ask for it. Bad BD
mad.gif

Wonder if the other rider ever got her rug?

im still waiting for BD to call me back about my sash from yesterday

With regards to the plaques i quite like them actually - i have mine up on the cupboard doors in our lorry

I like the fact you get gold for over a certain percentage and silver ones aswell.

Thats so poo P_G. Was bad enough you had to share as it was. I would have thought a 'spare' one would have been a good idea. Maybe not printed as saying NOVICE or whatever but blank so that you ALL got one for the photos and the lap of honour etc.

I agree with so many others. I cherish every rosette we get as they are difficult to win at BD. Best place round here is East Soley EC. They give SUPER rosettes and usually down to 10th place. So if they can why cant others?

i didnt realise you competed at East Soley! Ive taken Archie there before as its near me too. However im not to keen on the indoor - as nice as it is, its a bit tiny for us!

Ah yes Gen has a bit of an issue with the size of the school there too lol. Also he hates the light shapes that appear on the floor and only ever seem to appear when he goes in and then disappears after.

East Soley used to be a regular place for us. In fact there this weekend for Unaff. Gen hasnt been out for a while and you know the 'throw his toys out of the pram' problems he was having so thought it would be a nice relaxed trip for him.

Then limetree end of the month.

Be great to say hi sometime so hopefully we will compete somewhere at the same time.

ok, I am being ungrateful I can see.
