Annoying purple banner

REALLY annoying you can't just close it!!!


(god, just noticed how many posts I've made - I talk too much!)

TFC has notified the bods responsible earlier today that they have made an ermm mistake :rolleyes: but it is here until morning at least! :mad:
 
Intrusive and irritating! :( I scroll it off the screen as soon as it appears, even if that means not reading the top of the page. So I haven't seen what it is attempting to advertise and if I did I would make sure I didn't buy it. There are enough unavoidable adverts in life as it is.

Quite agree. I haven't read it either other than observing its something to do with H&H.
How does selling by annoyance work ? Does alienating potential customers by shoving intrustive ads at them actually increase sales ?

I've been thinking about putting my recycling bin under my mail box with a note to put advertising mail straight in. All those letters and leaflets never sees the inside of my house anyway and would save me a job.

I've also had to unplug my house phone to stop cold callers which still get past the phone preference option.

It is an error on the marketing side - see feedback thread. It is supposedly going to be sorted today. Makes you want to stop subscribing to H&H magazine though!

In the meantime use adblocker and/or use Firefox browser to stop the purple annoyance!
