Check the date, I think you will find it is 9 Jan, not 2nd, if it is the SBB Dinner at the Grange you are talking about.

Hes out of my little 15hh jumping mare who i had 11 yrs(sold on now)and the late more pokey, obv he wouldnt be doing so well if Sam Penn wasnt riding/competing him(i dont take any of the competing /training credit),but this is just the breeders awards doo, which makes a nice change doesnt it !,Date is 12th jan,yes at Grange city hotel. Will keep u all posted with some pics.Have a great crimbo everyonex

How cool! It's good to know of any of Pokey's babies that are doing well. I used to ride Pokey when the Cialfi's still lived in Sussex and he was an awesome stallion. I saw Sam at Hartpury* last year when Pumpkin was there doing the BEF class, and went and had a look at him.

Oh congratulations, I've seen/ heard of him at Golden Cross, he's really talented so I'm pleased that you are getting some of the credit. Wish we heard more about the breeding of eventers like they do in Ireland!

How fantastic and I am so glad that breeders are getting recognition as I do not think enough is done in this country.

Thanks all,i agree, why do the pro riders and not the breeders get all the credit(norm)?? I know the likes of pipa&foxpit/Zara(2 name a few)are VERY tallented` riders,BUT they do ride pro FT with all the help&training /advice they need and with financial back-up(unlike us who work FT & event prob 10 times a season&can only afford a few good lessons a yr)! This is why im so chuffed im getting this award as im just your average horsy lady(well im very special really)! More Pokey has bred some smashing horses, such a shame he's no longer with us!Anyone on here got a Pokey off-spring,i know there's a few competing?

I've got a 5yo mare by him but she damaged herself as a 3yo so she's a brood mare now. We've got a cracking foal out of her by One More Tiger so I'd hope that would be an eventer.
