Annular ligament surgery WWYD

They did say that if they cut the AL it was likely to cause a "baggy" fetlock. The tendon injury caused a small tendon sheath effusion, but since the surgery the lower section of her fetlock is larger. She is a LW WB with quite slim legs so possibly makes it more obvious. I think I see it more than others do and it is not noticeable with boots on. Sorry I don't have a picture of it.

Thank you, mines a twiggy leg too :) Im beside myself atm, shes blooming been a loon this afternoon :( It was breezy so I put her in her pen for an hour with no fly rug or mask and shes had a proper strop and galloped with sliding stops, cutting her leg too. It was definately flies, as soon as I put her rug and mask on she was fine, for some reason she just cant tolerate them anymore. Ive iced her leg and bandaged tonight and just hope she doesnt get cellulitis again or has damaged her leg further :(

My mare had the surgery 17 years ago and is still working normally at 23 had a few blips of intermittent lameness but surgery has improved so everything is much better now. She is still winning in the show ring too you would never know it had been done18268084_10212872731842189_2581331995150466781_n.jpg
