Sister had Grinder and Odin at Aldon so I played slave for the weekend
Start with Odin- he was in the CCI*.
Trotted up nicely and looked super. His dressage was a little disappointing, he warmed up beautifully and just came slightly off the aids but got a respectable 51 so was about mid-way after dressage.
The CCI xc was nice with a few questions, it caused quite a few probs and the time wasnt easy. Odin absolutely pinged round, looked like a pro and finished 2 seconds inside the optimum, moving them up 20 places over-night.
He was fairly tired Sunday morning and because G was on early, we didnt have much time to walk the stiffness out. He looked fine in the trot up and went into the sj lying in 20th. If he had jumped clear he would have been 12th but sadly his tiredness showed and he had some poles. Still thrilled with him though, he has improved so much since when he came to us.
Grinder was in the novice 2 day, quite a test for him as he only started eventing in April. He did a lovely test to score 35, perhaps a little ungenerous for the work he did but a decent score anyway. He then sjed in the driving rain but coped really well, just rubbed the first part of the treble and had it down.
His xc was on Sunday, he had roads and tracks and steeplechase to contend with too which he loved!! He looked amazing on the SC, kept such a lovely rythm andate the ground up. The xc was a fair test, plenty of accuracy questions but he was fab- sister came back beaming having gone all straight routes and said he just took her.
So all in all, a very wet, but very fun weekend and a good end to the season!!
