Another 'All breeds pedigree' query ??

I added my foal to this site but when it came to add the foals dam and sire they didn't go on?? I used the edit field as directed and all it did was to create a new horse for the foals dam and show me the sire's lines which were already created by other users?? So how do you add the parentage for a foal please folks ??

When you get the option to Add horse, click on it.
New window pops up.
Insert name, sex, year of birth, sire, dam, breed.
Click on Add/Edit pedigree.

If Sire name is popular there might be a long list of sires with same name, make sure you chooose the right one by reading each sire's description (a lot of doubles exist on the site as people can't be bothered to read through the list).
Click on the small dot in front of the correct sire to choose it.
Now look on the dams list and do the same.
If you can't find any of them or only one of them you will get the option to fill in their details later.
Click The corect parents are checked.
If parent existed they will be filled in automatically now.
otherwise you are given the option to Edit the pedigree of ???? the new sire/dam.
Allbreed gets very messy when people forget to choose the right horse when given the option, horses details are frequently being changed due to this so look at all the details very carefully and a pinch of salt. Print out a correct copy for reference at a later date. Sometimes people sabotage the site with malicious pictures too.

I did it exactly how you have described but it only created a 'new horse' for the grand dam and grand sire instead of adding the info to my foal's pedigree ???

it can take 24 hours to update, so try it again tomorrow and see if everything is showing up
