I've not written a report before so here goes!!!
After having 4 events abandonned in June and July this turned out to be our first run of the season....and boy did we need it! I was having serious confidence issues before and wasn't sure that either of us wanted to continue eventing, hence why I decided to drop back to Intro. Yesterday proved me wrong!

He did a lovely relaxed dressage, one of his best to date and scored 30.5 so I was very pleased with that, managed to contain his spooking as well which is quite an achievement for the mad ginger beasty!!

He was very lit up in the SJ warm up as I think he suddenly realised that he was finally at an event, but thats quite a good thing for him. We jumped clear but incurred 4 time penalties which was really surprising. He did have a few moments of landing on the wrong leg and having to go back to trot etc but I really didn't think we were hanging around, but there we are, lesson learnt!

XC he was absolutely awsome. The ground was rock hard and I was a bit concened but thought I'd let him decide on the pace. He absolutely flew around it. We even jumped the corner which we'd had trouble with at some PN's last year (big pat there!!). We got home with 2.8 time pens which I was more than happy with!

Overall we came 5th in the section which I was over the moon about, and it has reinforced the fact that we both love it!!! We even won £27 which was a great bonus as I thought it would be the usual 'prizes in kind'!

Ginger beast all sounds and happy this morning after yesterdays excitment and is enjoying a well earned day in the field. I will try to post some pics if my OH will show me how!! If you've got this far thank you for reading!!

Well done - sounds like a good day!

Thankyou! I hope nobody thinks I'm irresponsible running ponio on hard ground, we really needed the run as we haven't managed a run since last Sept due to weather and wedding! If he wasn't happy I'm sure I would've known and acted accordingly.

Well done - that is a great result!

Can't believe the ground was hard when it is only about 3 weeks since it was flooded!!

A corner in an Intro class - that is a bit stiff isn't it?

Well done, you won nearly as much as daughter did at the champ[ we got £30 in feed vouchers ] but she does get a lesson as well. Still its not the prize ,even though it is nice.
Looking forward to more reports
