Well after being tucked up all winter and really looking forward to new season, it arrived with a lovely 5.20am start
Well action pack day really for all wrong reasons - lose horse going through dressage warm up and my boy really unable to go straight and forward and same time. So after test really not happy bunny, but judge saw something she liked so 39
on to sj - have over pass week between out twice competeing over good sj course, but in warm-up my horse completely forgot or couldn't be bother to listen to rider
so we did round from hell!! if you turned away between fences 4 to 6, round was ok, but OMG i really needed my superglue!! but only 2 down, so i'm a happy with scored but totally confused by him!
On to next phase and normal best by miles - thank god. But by the time i had arrived at xc steward, there was a hold on course due to injured horse (which sadly was put down................ so sad for all connection).
So 45min later after again not the best of warm ups i was on a mission for good solid clear, walking across to starting box with fleshwagon in view
not best of sights
Whizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and off we went ping, ping and ping, set off brilliantly then thought lets test brakes................er not working!!!, what about steering er.............. not very good either
.
Got to no 8 and he locked onto PN fence and i couldn't stop him - bu88er it, jumped it and pulled with all my might and managed to turn and represent to correct Intro fence, now really did kick for home. He jump beautifully if a bit big and taking odd strides out
, yes he did pulled my arms but at least we jumped correct course. Very happy at end of course, BUT the Ginn said i was given 20 for run out!!!
Luckly TA was passing in car, so i stopped him and had chat and explained that i didn't run out at no 8 as couldn't present, but came back and presented correctly to intro fence and could he have chat to fence judges and get my 20 pens removed.
About hour later spoke to TA and yep 20 pens were removed
A huge thank to my groom, photographer and general kick up the bum merchant Ginn - Ur a star
thx for reading
i know there's more photos on way
