Baldy face? Am lost!!His eye colour is from his (extreme) baldy face.
MY.... look at that belly................................I’m a horse owner of nearly 40 years (yikes) but I bought a pony mare last summer as a companion for my fruit loop mare and as something for me / the kids to ride when they are around. But it turns out she’s a BOGOF so we are awaiting the pitter patter of little hooves. I’m excited and terrified! All thoughts / advice / input welcome please !
Baldy face? Am lost!!
Interesting in the third picture that his colour is paler. Is he a rather dark buckskin and white, I ask myself. I wonder if this third photograph was taken in the winter months when palomino and buckskin is at its lightest shade. Here we are!
Oh thanks I didn’t know that. I’d also forgotten it’s called a wall eye. It’s really hard sometimes to remember vocabulary you rarely use ( I live in France so don’t suppose I’ve said wall eye for 20 plus years !) and French equine terminology is quite generic! That's simply what a lot of white on the face and over the eyes is called. Nothing to do with bald as in hairless.
Many baldy-faced horses will have what is known as a wall eye. Blue.
Thank you and I most certainly will !Nothing useful to add, just wanted to wish you good luck, and hope you have time to update us when the little one arrives.
