Another boring "what weight can my cob carry" thread - sorry!

The chesnut is bang on 15.2hh and is 612kgs on a weigh bridge in good but not fat condition

If you look at the coloured stood next to him hes shorter but much, much sturdier!

The chestnut is the one that happily lugs 15stone plus tack about without a care in the world! The coloured is the one who isnt allowed to carry weight at the minute, he would happily, but hes a proper cut and shut job at the minute and only 4yr old.

I havent had the coloured on a weigh bridge, but going by eye he cant be that much less than 500kgs given his bone and general build. Weigh tapes are notoriously unreliable!

OP - when I outgrew my 13.2 pony, I couldn't bear to part with him (and I don't think anyone would buy him anyway!) We used to go out for hacks and I would get off and walk every 20 mins or so and up hills. Kept him fit and I lost weight from walking as well :)
