Never been before, but been going to Badminton since I was a toddler!!

How early do I need to get ther on Sat to not be stuck in traffic jams for hours? I reckon its 2hrs 30 so was thinking of leaving at 5am!

Also does it get as muddy as Badminton when it rains...ie. 4x4 or car??!!!

Anyone on the way down the A1 want to share a lift for sat? We have 2 spaces in the car for a bit of fuel money! We're near Thirsk, North Yorks so get on at A1 J49!

Don't need a lift (unless you can come via Worcs

) but asking the same question re: what car to take?

Company car = free fuel but might get stuck
4WD = expensive on fuel but drive by as the others get stuck

Someone on cr said earlier that reports are people being towed in and out today in tradestands and lorry park. I'd have thought a 4x4 would make life easier. Its much hillier than badminton too so that'll make things much harder in the wet.

We were going in the 4x4 but have decided not to bother now, have cancelled accommodation and fortunately this year we hadn't pre-bought tickets.

Equestrian clearance have a stock sale at York auction on Saturday so we are travelling over your way for that instead!!

Sorry, slight diversion from your thread.....
