It really makes my blood boil, the ladies concerned was / is involved in the Ashbourne Animal Welfare dealing particulary with horses, yet they failed to care for their own horses.
The RSPCA found horses severely under nourished standing in their own muck for months with no access to clean water or hay of any kind.
It was noted that due to the length of time these poor ponies were standing in such squalid conditions the height of the floor was gradually being raised so the horses were banging their heads on the roof strutts.
In the fields was so much chicken wire that horses were found with severely cut mouths.
The excuse for keeping animals in such conditions was - her health she struggled with arthiritus (sp) . Her punishment if you could call it punishment was 12 months suspended and a ban fron keeping animals for 10 years which she could contest.
Not only is this lady involved in a welfare charity she is a show judge as well, an absolute disgrace, as she was previously charged with cruelty to animals back in 1992.
