A WOMAN was banned from owning animals for life after she kept 59 dogs stacked in cages at a “puppy factory”.

Cruel Johanna Price, 71, left the dogs lying in their own mess with no food or water.

She fed them Chinese takeaway and raw chicken carcasses — then sold the terriers, Jack Russells, whippets and sausage dogs for up to £475 each.

Seven of the dogs later died.

RSPCA officer Jo Story said: “The smell was unbear-able. I’ve never seen conditions like this.

“She was certainly making a lot of money out of it.”

Price, of Bournemouth, Dorset, refused to let the RSPCA re-house the dogs while the case was heard — costing the charity £200,000 to keep them.

She was found guilty of animal cruelty charges but fined just £100 by Bournemouth JPs.

Disregarding the way the dogs were kept the raw chicken carcasses are good for dogs!

Damn woman, hope she gets her just desserts!

This is how dogs are kept (minus the Chinese food, apparently) in puppy mills all across the Midwest of America. Many are shipped to pet stores in NYC and sold at the prices reputable breeders charge.

Makes me furious having to even walk past these stores with cutesy names.

It's a disgrace! £100 is ridiculous. And is the ban really that effective? Considering it cost the RSPCA £200,000 to keep the dogs she should be paying that! Bakrupt the callous b*tch in the process

What a joke.

OT but I thought chicken bones were bad for dogs - or is that because cooked bones shatter????

Any cooked bones are dangerous to dogs. Anything raw is safe.
