Another Derby House Thread :(

Add me to the list, i am getting 1 of the 2 items i ordered. Again, they never emailed me to notify. Never had a problem with them before but think I will direct my business elsewhere in the future :-(
 
It's disappointing, I chased my order last week and was informed it had been sent from the store to the warehouse and I would get the entire order, chased again this morning and told that 5 out of the 8 items ordered are not available. Not going to order from them again no matter how good the offers are!
 
Surprised they're still hanging on. I worked for a mail order company who were in a similar (if not worse state), where I had the pleasure of working in customer services. Not a nice job, unless you like being sworn at and generally abused for something that isn't your fault.

I'm sure they are struggling to pay their suppliers, so they take orders they can't fulfil until the stock comes in, but the stock won't come unless they've taken enough orders to pay the supplier up front. No wholesaler or manufacturer with any sense gives credit to a company that's in the poo-no cash, no stock.

The company I worked for ended up closing down. You can't keep selling stock you don't have! One customer was so peed off with the lack of service (and other, dodgier things), they dumped a load of human excrement on the doorstep:eek:.

So, the suppliers don't supply, the customers don't get their stuff, the company can't pay, so the suppliers don't supply and so it goes on. Until the staff get totally fed up and leave or are laid off, the customers get fed up and go elsewhere and the business folds, leaving customers, suppliers and probably staff out of pocket. Rubbish, innit.
 
Luckily I have just received both of my orders on the 2 for £20 Ordered last Thurs, arrived today!

But they are teeny tiny 4'6" rugs for my sons sec b! :) Not much calling for that size I dont suppose!
 
I phoned up today, 3 weeks after paying and was told they couldn't get mountain horse boots from their supplier. At all. It would have been nice to have been told. So I cancelled my entire order.
 
I really don't understand how DH are still trading, there have been endless threads about their awful customer service but they suck people in with their offers. :( I ordered from them once and vowed never to use them again... rug fell apart within 24 hours and it took 5 weeks, endless phone calls and a letter before they replaced the rug, which then also fell apart.

Decided I would rather pay more money and receive a quality item in good time and experience decent customer service.
