I have bought things on ebay using paypal but I haven't sold anything . Now I want to sell a dressage saddle and some long boots.
Do I need to reregister on paypal so that people can pay me that way, also how much do they take off and what if it doesn't make reserve ,how much will it cost and is it better to put a start figure.

What size dressage saddle?

no you don't HAVE to use Paypal they can pay by cash/cheque/postal order/in person or any method you are happy to receive.

It doesn't cost anything to register but they take a % for every payment you receive and then they charge you when you transfer your money to a bank account

The main thing to remember with Paypal is that you must send the item by an online trackable service, a proof of posting is not enough, otherwise if the buyer claims they have not received it Paypal will suspend the payment until you provide the tracking number, if you can't then they refund the money to the buyer.

If it doesn't make the reserve then it doesn't sell so It is usually better to start an item at the absolute minimum you will accept but a lower start often ends up with a higher end bid, I think once people get bidding they can't stop!
