This article which includes the following quote directly under a photo of the rider riding her 'beloved' horse in Rolkur.. But don't worry, she cancelled her Olympic space to take care of her horse so she must be a wonderful person...

Two photos below that appears this photo of the same horse: (Albeit the attending vet at that event said the horse had bit his tongue....)

The article reads like a machine translation, but it is a mystery why we are supposed to think that she is wonderful not to take a horse with an infected head to the Olympics. Hopefully he would not have been allowed to compete anyway, either because of the infection or because of the drugs used to treat him.

Having said that, Parzival is a very old horse to be sound at GP in competition, so she's doing something right with him, rollkür notwithstanding.

Agree that the article is possibly translated or just badly written, but the fact that it was even considered a worthy enough story - not to mention the selected photos - baffles me..
Interestingly she was also eliminated on Governor-STR just last year for blood in the mouth.

I did think that she couldn't have taken him even if she wanted to due to medication and/or him being infected at all but I wasn't sure of the time frame between the Olympics and this illness so didn't mention it.
I would like to think that your second sentence has some truth behind it but the more I look into her, the more photos over an extended period of time I am finding that are just vile.. She's clearly not breaking her horse physically, but mentally may be another story.. Bet the poor thing wished he wasn't still competing GP with her!

I remember there being rumors about him having a hairline fracture in his jaw rather than some sort of unidentified toxic sting - looking at the following photos, I'm thinking that that's actually quite plausible.

I thought she was already at the Olympics when it happenend?
The article isn't on one of those websites trying to create revenues through clicks/advertising or something like that?
