Today I had run out of alfalfa, by the time I was free to go get some more , all the shops were shut except for a certain pet store !!!!

Well they had something called 'Honeychop' I had to get something and it was a very reasonable price.

I have fed it to him and he seems to like it, have looked on their web site and can see nothing that I find exception with, upto just.

Does anyone else feed it? and what are your thoughts?

It's just molasses coated oat straw - wat different in nutritional value, protien and energy levels to alfalfa.

Had not checked that, but the alfalfa is also coated in molasses.

However, you are correct, it is C...P, protein is 5.2 and energy 13.4, no good for my boy.

Good job I am now adding sugar beet.

Another factor to take into account is that a bag of Honeychop is only 12.5kg whereas most Dengie chaffs come in 20kg bags - so bear that in mind when comparing prices (as well as the difference in nutritional values)!

I saw that, not such a bagain. But all that was to hand.

God, I am feeding him crap
