Why, why, why do people continue to breed horses and ponies if they have no intention of caring for them? Do such folk really need a kick in the head! Yes I believe so. Yet another act of cruelty. I wouldn't have thought the end was quick for this little girl either.
I can't abide Halal killings so there is no way I would condone this end for an animal either. Especially not when this is happening in the western world and there are other alternatives for unwanted horses and ponies such as the jab or the gun!
I suppose this method cost the owner very little, except for the price of the blade and the fuel used to transport and dump her body.
Makes me sick it really does.
In a similar way to the mares in foal adverts that keep popping up everywhere Or ex broodmares free to a good home and companion/light hack home wanted for them.
There are far too many horses used as commodities and it really angers me because in a lot of cases there is little thought to the future of the offspring of continual breeding and the mares that are a 'uterus' on legs!!
