another FRANCH post (sorry) - is it only our forum who think like us?

Noir - please don't make this personal, JM07 gave a reasonable answer, you could look back over previous posts to see more too. Having posted this, I probably don't need to as JM can stick up for herself, she is one of the well respected, knowledgeable and realistic posters on here.
 
apart from being obnoxious you seem convinced that youve just discovered 'hot water'. JM has probably forgotten more about horses than you will ever know. Its so obvious that you are part and parcel of the 'Franch Rescue', why dont you tell us all about it seeing as no one can obtain stats etc. from these 'charities'!

If this statement is true then am I right in thinking that you are only posting on here to wind people up over a very emotive subject? If this is true then you are one sick person. I would disagree that 99% of people on here "do not give a flying fig" if that's the case then why so many posts on the subject?
 
Franch is where one of your fellow believers wants to, are "rescuing" horses from. Since I find it a polite way to show that I don't intend all of France to be tarred with the same brush, I don't mind using the expression Franch.

[/ QUOTE ] explained to you, as far as I've read on these threads, nobody have said they didn't know there's horses sold to become meat and nobody have said that there would be no selling of horses to become meat, if there wasn't any "rescuing". What I have said and read others saying, is that those that does sell horses for meat will not produce less horses because you "rescue" some of them. And that if you pay them for a horse, then it is your money that contributes to them being able to continue with what they're doing.

Of course selling horses is in a way no different from selling other things, if more people become intrested in buying what someone produces, there's a risk or likelihood that it fuels the market, in this case leading to that some will produce more horses, so that they can get both your money and the money from those paying for the horses that is sold to become meat.
And by the way, the prize of Hungarian horses sold for meat is very likely due to what the people buying the meat are willing to pay.




There's also the fact that a number of these "rescue" horses are bred with one purpose in mind which is to be sold as meat and have a conformation that makes them not suitable for most anything that the usual horse owner does or wants to do with their horse.
I know that some (hopefully the majority) of these "rescue" horses can live comfortably as riding or driving horses, some maybe "only" as field ornaments, but that's just like how it is with most other normal horses.



However I wont support anyone who wants to save anything and everything due to thinking with their heart, saving simply because they think they can, regardless of realistic issues and responsibilities.
