Have had a few pms asking what's going on with Gem and wondering why I haven't done an update recently,
. Sorry about that.
There isn't all that much to say tbh. Since she left the vets and was put on stronger steroids, I have upped her feed content and she is now on 4 feeds a day instead of 3. She is in at night as well (she hadn't been previously because of the concerns about her breathing, but the steroids she is on should prevent anything terrible happening in that department.)
She is still losing weight, and now isn't even interested in her feed or haylage which she used to happily wolf down. I spoke to one of the vets that looked after her while she was in the RVC. She said that the steroids should be having an effect by now and she most definitley should not be losing weight and the fact that she is strongly indicates cancer. My main vet is on holiday at the moment but gets back on Monday, so I will ring her to come out ASAP.
Still trying to hold onto the fact it may be something other than cancer... however bleak it looks at the moment...
