Another girth size question!

My girth is right at the top (7th hole) on both sides so I'm going to buy another one.

Would you suggest to buy one 2 inches shorter or 4 inches shorter?

I went 4 when mine was like that, but it depends if the horse is going to stay that weight and if they puff out when you try do it up as its hard to get done up if they do.

I'd go down one size, though keep in mind that ones with elastic will give more than ones without.

You should aim to have the buckle on the middle hole on either side, so measure from middle hole on the nearside girth strap under horse on the sternum groove and up to middle hole on the offside middle hole and that is your ideal measurement for a girth.
