Of my cob, Harley. he's 14.3hh, lives out, and these were taken in October this year - he's 15 years old. If it helps... he's got just over 8 inches of bone, so would be classed as a lightweight cob.

In that case I'm going to say 550kgs
I used to be very good at these - I worked at a vets where we always guess the weight defore putting horsey on weightbridge prior to anesthetic

720Kg!

What a bloater! He has lost over 50Kgs now, his weight does fluctuate quite a bit. Needless to say really, but I do realise he's overweight for his build (but so am I!), and he's in an XXXW tree in his Wintec at the moment.

720 are you sure you're measuring in the right place? I would have said that he's a similar build to my Daisy and at her very heaviest she's only been 604

Cripes thats heavy!!
OH's mare was weighed on the proper scales at AHT in September, even having had 4 months off work stuffing her face, she was only 740kgs....she's got 10 inches of bone and is 16.2hh. Vets there said she was grossly overweight at that weight (our vet later said he thought that was a bit of an exaggeration, although she has been on a major diet since!)
This is after 2 weeks of dieting....

I'd say your boy weighed lots less that her, I'd have guessed at about 575-600 on the basis my arab the same size is about 420kgs.
ETS I meant the 720kg was heavy not Daisy, sorry!!

Who ate all the pies? Seriously, he's a big fella but looking very sprightly for a 15 year old. I would have said 575kg. I can sympathise as mine piles on the weight in the summer despite being kept in off the grass. At her most gross she was 560kg. She is losing a bit now I'm pleased to say and looks much better for it.
