I went up to the yard tonight and Hannah's bag was even bigger, she had waxy bits on the ends (quite crispy looking and yellow) and her bottom has totally gone!

I lifted her tail to have a look at her vulva (which is really long and floppy) and I had a bit of a shock because it more or less bent in half. I thought I had broke her tail because it felt dislocated. I dropped it, ran out of the stable having a panic attack until my friend said this is very normal for a mare getting ready to foal!

Anyway, here are some pics:

Only kidding lol!!

Oh how exciting!! I am guessing Saturday night...

Who knows, who knows... I seriously thought it was broken!

It just flopped, and there is no tension in it at all which just came as a huge shock to me because I didn't know about this bit of the process. It even wiggled from side to side too...

Thanks... I have to admit, I am looking forwards to being in my own bed soon.

My friend thinks she doesn't have long to go now, but I still have my reservations knowing how awkward Hannah can be

yes very very relaxed rather than the slight pressure they have on it.
It really cant be that much long now. just realised its her due date today - its gonna have to come now!!!
I was lucky Ebi foaled 3 days early

Thanks honey... I can laugh about it now but at the time I just felt completely sick because I thought she had done something to it while I had been riding Grace. It totally bent!

fingers crossed for you, i will have to get my mum to check your morning report as im back at work now

Aw was it... it is so lovely when you see them move.

I have not seen mine move for a week now, so I have been a little concerned that it is no longer there

Willow went very quiet in the last few days - i too thought something had happened to her - wanted to give Ebi a good poke in the ribs to wake Willow up and make her move but thought the poor sod doesnt need me doing that to her when she was so big and uncomfortable

I know what you mean... I haven't seen anything for quite a few days now and I have been very tempted to prod her too just to see whether it moves.

yes im sure it will -especially as youre going to be so close.
unfortunately i went home the night that Ebi foaled. Little [****] - she waited till id gone - one of the few nights in June that I spent at home and not at the yard.

youve definitley got well prepared with the cctv, foaling alarm etc. I didnt have any of that

best thing was I went up at 10 - let her out of the stable onto the yard for a mooch round whilst I skipped her stable out. Gave her some attention and gave her a groom then left the yard after midnight. Got back to the yard at about 4..05am and there Willow was
