This is all so exciting.I have been following all your posts.Even the OH keeps saying"has that orse on the forum had its foal yet"!!.
I hope you don't mind but even my work colleagues keep asking me how its going, and they don't know one end of a horse from the other!!
she wasnt her normal self - she was very clingy - like i said i turned her outside the stable and she just kept coming back in and standing over me. When i went to empty the wheel barrow she followed me there too. Gave her a brush etc and when I left her she didnt know what to do with herself whether to stand with me or stand in her bed - just kept walking backwards and forward. She started to get clammy but i didnt think she would foal that night so went home
I hope by this time that you are either sound asleep with Hannah tucked up beside you or she is hard at work doing her pushing!
Can't wait until the morning to hear the latest!
Oh wow, missed this last night! She is very close now. YAY!!!
Just a though Becki, if she hasn't foaled last night, you might want to plait the bottom of her tail at night because when the waters break and when the foal is delivered there is a lot of 'mess'.
Plaiting the bottom and putting a tail bandage on (if you get there in time) saves the tail from getting sodden which can be pretty foul when little 'un is trying to find the milk bar and saves work for you the next day in washing her tail.
